Health and wellbeing checks and COVID-19 vaccinations are being offered at community venues across the Island in June.
The Vaccination Hub at St Mary’s Hospital, in partnership with primary care, is inviting the Island community to drop in to a local health and wellbeing clinic in their area for a seasonal COVID vaccination and conversation about their health and wellbeing.
People eligible for vaccination include anyone aged 75 years and over, and adults over 18 years who have severe immunosuppression.
Sue Lightfoot, Clinical Lead at St Mary’s Vaccination Hub, said: “The COVID-19 vaccination is offered to the most vulnerable people in our community, and getting the vaccine means milder symptoms and a quicker recovery if you catch the virus, so it’s really important to get that protection.
“There is no need to book, just come along and see us at any of the health and wellbeing clinics in June and our friendly team will be very happy to see you and support you with your health and wellbeing.”
As well as delivering the COVID-19 vaccination, the team will also be offering blood pressure checks, information and advice on healthy lifestyle choices such as weight management support, stopping smoking, stress management and light refreshments will be available for anyone attending.
