The David Hide Asthma and Allergy Research Centre is a registered charity based in a purpose built building at St Mary's Hospital.
We have an active research programme focusing on various aspects of childhood asthma and other allergic diseases as well as the prevention of allergy.
The David Hide Centre has become internationally renowned for the excellence of its research.
The David Hide Centre also houses the Isle of Wight NHS allergy service. This provides a multidisciplinary paediatric and adult allergy service.
There is a close relationship between the research and clinical aspects of the Centre.
Findings published over the last two decades have been of fundamental importance in promoting the understanding of childhood asthma.
