Sevenacres Carers Lounge
Carers IW have staff based at Sevenacres. Staff can support you if the person you care for is admitted to Sevenacres or requires the support of the Home Treatment Team. We provide:

Support with hospital admission, stay and discharge.
- Provide a liaison service between the carer and IOW NHS Trust staff.
- Help carers to understand their rights and entitlements.
- Referral and signposting to other appropriate agencies.
- A safe space for carers to discuss their hopes and fears, feel heard and identify coping strategies.
- Mental Health Carers drop-in every Friday at 10am to midday at the Carers Centre, Riverside Centre, Newport.

St Mary’s Carers Lounge
the St Mary's Carers Lounge is open Monday to Friday at 10am to 4pm.
If the person you care for is admitted to St Marys Hospital you can access face to face support at the Carers Lounge which is located close to the north entrance or call 01983 552568 or 01983 552569.
Carers IW – local support available for unpaid carers
A carer is anyone who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member who due to illness, disability, mental health problem, or addiction cannot cope without their support.
Carers IW support adult unpaid carers of adults across the Island. From its location at Riverside in Newport it offer services including training, one to one support, help with carers assessments, a weekly drop-in, self-care cafes, and quiet days. The staff will help with the highs and lows of looking after someone and how to manage your own needs alongside this.
